[attr="class","official-header"]This is to aide in classifying Original Characters. Most Canons already have a classification.

The mutant classification scale is a scale of the effectiveness of a mutant along with the relative power and strength of the mutant and his or her mutation. Please note that if a staff member does not agree with the classification that you place your original character under, they will notify you and change it in your Active Character Listing.

Omega mutants are determined to be the most powerful of all the mutant classes. Originally, Omegas were mutants with vast control over matter and energy. Examples include Iceman, Legion, and Phoenix.

[attr="class","official-title"]ALPHA

[attr="class","official-content"]
Alpha mutants are considered to be the second most powerful mutants. These individuals have extremely powerful mutant traits without possessing many flaws. Alphas are considered to be rare and are only less than 10% of the mutant population. Those mutants classified as Alphas have normal human appearances and their mutations are powerful and controllable.

Beta mutants are on the same level as Alpha mutants with regards to how potent their powers are. Similar to the Alphas, Betas are only 10% of the mutant population. Alphas have normal human appearances, or at least close to it. They are powerful but less controllable. Examples include Cyclops, who can't turn his optic blast off but can still lead a normal life with minor precautions.

Once again, there is a similarity between Delta mutants and Alphas in the sense that Deltas do not have any significant flaws. However, Deltas do not have the power to match that of an Alpha or Beta. These individuals are the most common type of mutant, making up at least 50% of the population. Despite their power being weaker, they are still controllable and Deltas have a normal human appearance.

Epsilon mutants have a mutation that singles them out from other mutants. Their mutations are clear and visible, making it difficult to have a normal life. Epsilons only have minor superhuman powers. These mutants make up 20% of the mutant population. Examples include Beak or Pixie

[attr="class","official-content"]

Gamma mutants have major flaws that make their lives hard. Gammas are powerful yet uncontrollable, unable to switch their powers on and off. This affects their day to day lives. Their flaws are less noticeable at a glance compared to Epsilons, but Gammas mutations become quite obvious while interacting with another individual. Examples include Blob and Wither.
